Week 9 Spelling Words: Write spelling words 3 times each

  • dispute, expose, mistake, compete, translate, include, explode, despite, subscribe, reptile

  • Bonus Words: incubate, stipulate, confinement


Math: 

  • Go Math 14.1 Addition Strategies

  • Objective: Represent one- and two-step problems involving addition and subtraction of whole numbers to 1,000 using pictorial models, number lines, and equations.

  • Edgenuity (Addition quiz & Real World addition problems)


Reading: 

  • Objectives: Edit drafts using standard English conventions, including punctuation marks, apostrophes in contractions and possessives. 

    Demonstrate and apply phonetic multisyllabic words with closed syllables; open syllables.

  • Informational Text
  • Plural possessive nouns pg. 370
  • Edgenuity (Asking & Answering Questions) The student is expected to generate questions about text before, during, and after reading to deepen understanding and gain information.


Social Studies: Continue week 9: Communities and Education- Answer the questions at the end of each article online, write questions and answers from studies weekly, highlight the answers in the Week 8 article that can be used on the test. 

  • Seesaw: Schools Then and Now


Science: Continue Unit 4 Lesson 1: What are Some Forms of Energy? pages 149-160 for all week
  • Define Energy
  • Explain the difference between potential & kinetic energy
  • Identify types of energy people use
  • Give examples of ways energy can cause motion or create change


IXL- one reading and one math (assignments that I have a star on show up under the recommendations tab)
