Social Studies: Start week 15: Communities and Recreation

Students will discuss ways in which people in communities meet their needs for recreation. Students will describe the effects of physical and human processes in shaping the landscape to make recreation areas, e.g., lakes, reservoirs, etc.

Science: Unit 5 Forces and Work: Lesson 4 What Is Gravity? Pages 239-250 for all week

• Identify gravity as a force that pulls objects toward one another.
• Describe the effects of gravity on objects that are on or near Earth.
• Explain that gravity is everywhere (universal).
