Social Studies: Continue Week 19: Markets

Students will explain the concept of a free market in a community. They will discuss the concept of goods and services by examining examples of both within a community and will understand how supply and demand affect the price of a good or service.

Listen to the rest of the articles and answer questions on studiesweekly.com. Find and highlight the answers to the questions in the article to be used for the test on Friday.

As a review study the questions for each article on studies weekly. The test will be these questions only!

Science: Unit 7 : Lesson 3 What Is Soil?

Objectives:
  • Define and explain the term soil.

  • Identify soil as a natural resource.

  • Explain how soil is formed by weathering of rock and decomposing plant and animal remains.

  • Describe and compare various types of soil: sand, silt, clay.

  • Explain that topsoil is a byproduct of subsoil and bedrock.

  • Explain why soil is important for plant growth.


Complete Brain Check and Sum It Up on pages 330&331 and send me a picture

Lesson 1&3 Quiz will be posted on google classroom today. It must be done today or tomorrow and you may use your book.
