Spelling Words (abbreviations): Write words in ABC order

  • A.M.- ante meridiem (morning), P.M.- post meridiem (afternoon), ASAP- as soon as possible, P.S.- postscript, Blvd.-boulevard, Rd.-road, vs.-versus,

    no.- number, wt.- weight, etc.- et cetera

  • Bonus Words: dept.- department, hrs.- hours, FYI- for your information

Math: Go Math 7.2 Multiply with 5 and 10 pages 217-222

  • Edgenuity: Multiplication with Arrays

The student will represent multiplication facts by using a variety of approaches such as repeated addition, equal-sized groups, arrays, area models, equal jumps on a number line, and skip counting.

Reading:

  • Edgenuity: Inferences and Drawing Conclusions

Objectives:
  • Make connections to personal experiences, ideas in other texts, and society.

  • Establish purpose for reading assigned and self-selected texts. 

  • Generate questions about text before, during and after reading.

  • Explain the relationships among the major and minor characteristics.

  • Explain the author’s purpose and message within a text.


Social Studies: Continue week 14: Community and Safety- Answer the questions at the end of each article online, write questions and answers from studies weekly, highlight the answers in the article that can be used on the test. 

Science: Unit 5 Forces and Work Lesson 2 Quiz on google classroom

Lesson 2 What Are Some Other Simple Machines? 

  • Explain how inclined planes, wedges, and screws are related

  • Describe uses of inclined planes, wedges, and screws

  • Define and explain the term compound machine

  • Identify scissors and bicycles as compound machines

  • Recognize simple and compound machines found in the students’ environments
