  • Determine the number of objects in each group when a set of objects is partitioned into equal shares or a set of objects is shared equally

  • Solve one-step and two-step problems involving division within 100 using pictorial models, including equal groups

Social Studies: Start Week 20: Business

Students will explain how communities make money using the free enterprise system. They will explain how the cost of production and selling price affect profits. Students will identify some people in the past and present who have started new business.

Listen to the first 3 articles and answer questions on studiesweekly.com. Find and highlight the answers to the questions in the article to be used for the test on Friday.


Science: Unit 9 Space : Lesson 1 How Do Earth and the Moon Move?

Objectives:
  • Explain how Earth’s rotation is responsible for the day and night cycle.

  • Describe how Earth’s revolving around the sun is responsible for the seasons.

  • Describe the various phases of the moon including new moon, first-quarter moon, full moon, and third-quarter moon.

  • Explain how the moon causes the tides.


Fill in lesson vocabulary words on page 379
Read pages 380-383
