Math:  Google Meet @10am Module 9 Lesson 5: Multiply 2-Digit by 1-Digit Numbers pages 299-304

  • Recall facts to multiply up to 10 by 10 with automaticity and recall the corresponding division facts.

  • Use strategies and algorithms, including the standard algorithm, to multiply a two-digit number by a one-digit number. Strategies may include mental math, partial products, and the commutative, associative, and distributive properties.


When we have finished the lesson we will quickly review module 9. Complete Module 9 Assessment (pages 305 & 306) and enter your answers in google classroom. You will not answer questions 2 and 3! Make sure you put your answer on the correct question.

Social Studies: Begin Week 19: Markets

Students will explain the concept of a free market in a community. They will discuss the concept of goods and services by examining examples of both within a community and will understand how supply and demand affect the price of a good or service.

Listen to the first two articles and answer questions on studiesweekly.com. Find and highlight the answers to the questions in the article to be used for the test on Friday.


Science: Unit 7 : Lesson 3 What Is Soil?

Objectives:
  • Define and explain the term soil.

  • Identify soil as a natural resource.

  • Explain how soil is formed by weathering of rock and decomposing plant and animal remains.

  • Describe and compare various types of soil: sand, silt, clay.

  • Explain that topsoil is a byproduct of subsoil and bedrock.

  • Explain why soil is important for plant growth.
